Environmental Coordinator

Join our team at nrmjoEnvironmental jobs, NRM, as we seek a highly motivated and experienced Local Landcare Coordinator to support our efforts in promoting environmental sustainability and community engagement in the Illawarra region.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide support to local community volunteer Landcare groups in Wollongong, Kiama, and Shellharbour local council areas.
- Work with Landcare groups, committees, and community organizations to achieve their goals and increase community engagement in Landcare activities.
- Develop and implement projects to improve the capacity and long-term viability of Landcare groups and protect the environment.
- Collaborate with Local Land Services (LLS) and other government agencies to deliver target outcomes of the Landcare Enabling NSW (LNSW) Program.
- Strong understanding of natural resource management issues in the region and empathy with the local community.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including competency in Word, Excel, email, and social media.
- Proven expertise in project planning, management, record keeping, and report writing.
- Ability to work with community groups, government agencies, and landholders, including schools and Indigenous groups.
- Flexibility to work flexible hours, including weekends, and travel to musters, conferences, and Landcare events.
