About the Role
As a Senior Blast Engineer, you will be responsible for providing expert advice on blast design and analysis, working closely with our clients to ensure their buildings and structures are safe and secure. You will have a strong background in civil or structural engineering, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in blast engineering-related projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide physical security and protective design consulting services for new and existing buildings, including blast design, site layout, and progressive collapse analysis.
- Prepare blast threat mitigation strategy reports, working with security advisors to assess and mitigate risks to life safety.
- Perform calculations to determine blast-loading environments and nonlinear, dynamic analysis of building structures and façade systems using finite element analysis software.
- Provide recommendations to reduce or eliminate the probability of structural collapse, including blast protection of critical elements.
- Interface with and present to internal and external clients, providing expert advice on blast design and analysis.

Requirements
- Relevant technical qualification in civil or structural engineering.
- Chartered status or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in blast engineering-related projects.
