Drill and Blast Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Drill and Blast Engineer to join our team at Whitehaven Coal's Vickery Mine. As a key member of our Technical Services team, you will be responsible for providing technical guidance and support for all drill and blast activities on site.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain plans, designs, and blast packs for all blasts
- Provide direction to Technical Services and Operations regarding shot locations, timing, and blasting requirements
- Ensure drill patterns are available for drilling in a timely manner to minimize operational delays
- Maintain a 2-week Drill and Blast schedule and communicate sequence and requirements to Operations and Technical Services
- Minimum two years of mining experience in a Drill and Blast engineering role
- Experience with Blastlogic and Vulcan (or similar mine planning software)
- High-level written and oral communication skills
- High-level computer literacy
- Strong data analysis skills
- Full relocation packages
- 9-day fortnight roster (5:2 | 4:3)
