Job Summary

The role of Import Operator is critical to the success of our logistics operations. We are seeking an experienced professional to manage import freight forwarding processes across sea shipments.

This position plays a key role in ensuring documentation accuracy, liaising with service providers, and maintaining smooth communication. As an Import Operator, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating import freight forwarding activities.

About the Position

You will verify documentation provided by shippers, carriers, and other service providers. Additionally, you will register import shipments and ensure Quarantine inspections are completed.

Your duties will include distributing pre-alerts and relevant documents to clients and stakeholders in a timely manner. You will also liaise with Australian authorities in regards to import clearance.

Action delivery requests and advise cartage teams to coordinate deliveries. Furthermore, you will invoice customers and process payments for service providers.

Requirements
  • Experience in international freight forwarding is essential.
  • A proven track record in import operations is necessary.
  • Familiarity with CargoWise software is required.
  • Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities are crucial.
  • A collaborative approach with strong multitasking skills is essential.
  • Full-time working rights in Australia are mandatory.
