Job Opportunity

We are seeking a visionary leader to spearhead our social and community planning efforts, focusing on strengthening wellbeing, equity, and resilience across Wollondilly.

In this pivotal role, you will provide expert guidance, deliver impactful assessments, and collaborate with key stakeholders to craft healthy, inclusive environments for the future.

Responsibilities and Qualifications
  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant field such as Social Planning, Social Work/Social Sciences, Urban Planning, or Public Health, or extensive demonstrated experience
  • A valid NSW Class C Driver's Licence and Working with Children's Check
  • Proven expertise in the relationship between the built environment and health and wellbeing outcomes
  • Extensive experience in developing, implementing, and monitoring social and community planning strategies that promote social inclusion, equity, wellbeing, and resilience
  • Proven ability to lead and deliver comprehensive impact assessments, with a deep understanding of land use planning processes and healthy built environment principles
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience using demographic and social data to identify gaps, prepare reports, develop funding proposals, and inform strategic decision-making
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective partnerships with local health districts, government agencies, NGOs, and community groups to co-design responses to emerging needs
