Opportunity to become a Healthcare Service Delivery Leader in our prison health services team:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our multidisciplinary team as an Associate Health Services Manager.

This key role assists the Health Services Manager to manage primary health services at our location, coordinating nursing staff and contributing to reporting requirements.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality healthcare services, promoting prisoner health and wellbeing through evidence-based practice, and performing duties in accordance with our organisational values.

This is a full-time opportunity at our Loddon/Middleton site based in Castlemaine.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Health Services Manager in managing primary health services
  • Coordinate nursing staff and contribute to reporting requirements
  • Deliver high-quality healthcare services and promote prisoner health and wellbeing
  • Perform duties in accordance with organisational values
Requirements
  • Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as a Registered Nurse
  • Minimum three years of postgraduate clinical experience as a registered nurse
  • Ability to work without direct supervision in performing the role
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and coordinate patient care
  • Demonstrated competence in clinical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to professional practice within the healthcare facility
  • Demonstrated competence in written and verbal communication skills
  • Interpersonal and negotiation skills to build positive relationships
  • Demonstrated basic level of computer literacy
