About the Job

As a Casual Lifeguard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of patrons in the centre. This involves supervising pool areas, responding to emergencies, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be physically fit, and have excellent time management abilities. They should also be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and make sound decisions under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise pool areas to ensure patron safety
  • Respond to emergencies and provide first aid when necessary
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment, including the pool area, surrounding facilities, and equipment
  • Conduct regular safety checks and report any hazards or concerns
RequirementsEssential Qualifications:
  • Current Senior First Aid Certificate
  • Current Pool Lifeguard Certificate
  • Current Working with Children Check (if over 18)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bronze Medallion
  • Class C Drivers Licence
  • Aqua Aerobics Certification
  • Certificate III in Fitness
  • Austswim Learn to Swim Course
  • Certificate III in Aquatics (SIS30110)
  • Chemical Handling course
  • Experience in a public pool
What We Offer

This is a casual position, paid on an hourly rate. Rates vary based on skills and experience, between $19.79 and $41.45 per hour.

Successful applicants must undergo pre-employment checks, including medical screening, drug testing, reference checks, qualification verification, and NSW Police Check.
