Job Title: Financial Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced professional to oversee all aspects of financial operations within a dynamic construction environment.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Management: Handle end-to-end management of accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, vendor payments, and client receipts.
  • Reporting & Reconciliation: Prepare, analyse, and present regular financial reports, including aged debtors/creditors and forecasts.
  • System & Process Management: Operate within the Jobpac platform for managing job-related accounting, forecasting, contract valuation, and project cost tracking.
  • Team Leadership: Oversee junior financial coordinators, providing training and review, instilling continuous improvement, and maintaining a high standard of financial service.
  • Compliance & Controls: Establish and maintain sound accounting procedures and internal controls, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and policies.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with project managers, operations staff, vendors, and auditors, providing support during audits and responding promptly to queries or discrepancies.

What You'll Need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven background managing both payables and receivables in a construction or project-based finance environment.
  • Proficiency with Jobpac (or similar construction accounting systems).
  • Strong leadership skills and experience managing junior staff.
  • Excellent attention to detail, communication, and reporting capabilities.
