Are you a highly skilled accountant seeking a new challenge in finance? We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Accountant to join our team.

Job Description

As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in the finance team by taking ownership of compliance and financial reporting tasks. You will be responsible for streamlining month-end close processes, supporting strategic finance initiatives, and implementing NetSuite process improvements and automation to drive efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Month-End Financial Reporting: Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, annual financial statements, and assist with requests from external auditors.
  • Compliance and Governance: Review all aspects of tax (GST, Income Tax, Payroll Tax) and other compliance reporting.
  • Business Partnering and Process Improvement: Work closely with the finance team to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to streamline processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • CPA or CA qualification (or working towards completion)
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in accounting, preferably in a commercial finance environment at a senior level
  • Experience with NetSuite or other ERP systems is highly regarded
  • Knowledge of Australian taxation and compliance requirements
