Graduate Building Surveying and Compliance Professional

We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Graduate to join our team as a Building Surveying and Compliance professional. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals in a dynamic and supportive environment.

The Graduate will contribute to a range of projects and initiatives that help shape and connect our City. This is a challenging yet rewarding position that offers opportunities for growth and development in a highly regulated industry.

You will be responsible for researching and interpreting legislation, codes, approvals, and regulations related to building compliance. Your strong analytical skills and attention to detail will enable you to conduct inspections, investigate real building compliance matters, and assess building code triggers.

This role requires excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey ideas clearly and effectively collaborate with colleagues. You will also be expected to maintain accurate records and reports, including draft compliance notices and referrals to relevant authorities.

To succeed in this position, you should possess a recognised bachelor's degree or postgraduate qualification in Building Surveying or a related field. You must also have full working rights in Australia and be able to work full-time.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct research and analysis of building codes, regulations, and standards
  • Inspect buildings and conduct investigations into alleged breaches of building codes
  • Draft reports and recommendations for enforcement actions
  • Collaborate with other teams to identify and resolve building compliance issues
