Academic Sessional Tutor

As an academic staff member, you will contribute to teaching students new to university. This opportunity is available on a sessional basis across various programs.
We are looking for experienced academics who possess subject matter expertise in one or more of the following areas:
- Academic literacy and communication skills
- Research and academic writing
- Human biology
- Mathematics
- Conduct tutorials/lectures to an excellent standard, preparing lesson plans and facilitating group discussions and activities.
- Consult with students, assist with assessment administration, and provide feedback as required.
- Attend meetings and complete relevant induction/professional development through the university.
- Identify and engage students at risk of course failure or non-completion.
- Supportive of our institution's values.
- A minimum of an undergraduate qualification and/or equivalent professional experience.
- Prior teaching experience at the tertiary level, with sound understanding of core academic skills and adult learning principles.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including ability to foster collegiality and empathise with students.
- Ability to deliver quality learning and teaching practices in multiple modes.
