About the Role

As a Mental Health Clinician, you will be working with adults and young people, providing brief and ongoing interventions and developing collaborative individual care plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Function autonomously, collaborating with other clinicians to participate in service development and planning for individuals with mental health issues and their families.
  • Provide evidence-based interventions, comprehensive assessments, and care planning.
  • Participate in clinical reviews and quality assurance processes.
  • Attend business meetings and contribute to community partnerships with external stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • General AHPRA registration as a Psychologist, Occupational Therapist (with mental health accreditation), or AASW Accredited Mental Health Social Worker or Registered Nurse and/or Registered Mental Health Nurse.
  • Knowledge and experience in clinical mental health assessment and evidence-based interventions.
  • Proven judgment and evaluation skills demonstrating assessment and care planning expertise.
  • Understanding of public, non-government, and private mental health systems and programs in a community setting.
  • Demonstrated computer skills and ability to maintain clinical records.
  • Understanding of duty of care, rights to privacy, and confidentiality.
  • Positive attitude with commitment to service improvement activities and personal growth.
  • Well-developed written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
