Leading the Global Database DevOps team to deliver business outcomes for 5000 databases is a highly sought-after position that comes with numerous responsibilities. As a manager of database services, you will be tasked with leading the charge towards a modern multi-cloud platform that drives faster and better business outcomes.

Job Description

This role involves automating infrastructure provisioning and database maintenance through pipelines in a safe and secure manner. You will leverage commercial tooling such as flyway to provide a framework with observability and safety/security to apply application changes, including design governance for schema changes. Additionally, you will automate insights into top contributor queries to customer experience using AI-driven analytics.

Required Skills and Experience

To excel in this role, you must possess hands-on knowledge of databases from infrastructure, admin, and application perspectives on AWS, GCP, and Azure. You should also have hands-on experience with DevOps tools such as CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, Ansible, Puppet, and Chef. Proficiency in programming languages like Java, TypeScript, Python, and scripting tools like shell scripts is essential. Furthermore, you should have experience managing large teams of database experts and people leaders across geographies.
