Application Product Owner Project Manager

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Application Product Owner Project Manager. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading the application development, support and operations team for our core enterprise administration solution used throughout all Asia Pacific businesses.

This is not a traditional IT Application Product Owner Project Manager role. Instead, this position is deeply embedded in the business, acting as the voice of the customer and the champion of business value. You will work closely with stakeholders to shape the product vision, define priorities, and ensure that our platform continues to evolve as a mission-critical platform that drives strategic outcomes.

  • You will bring the product vision to life and ensure alignment with user needs and business goals.
    • Project planning
    • Manage application backlogs, new business initiatives, and process improvements
    • Support operations, defect resolution, and service management
    • Handle SDLC, deployment, and regulatory reporting
    • Oversee budgets and financial reporting
  • Engage with stakeholders
  • Leadership and team motivation
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant industry university/tertiary qualification or equivalent in Information Technology Computer Science studies
  • 10+ years' experience delivering software-based applications projects to commercial business environments and ongoing operations support and management
  • Experience and knowledge of insurance industry
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent knowledge of IT project methodologies and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving and delivering resolutions
