Job Overview

A skilled and experienced civil works team in Toowoomba seeks a professional Leading-Hand Operator.

  • Assist with pre-start and toolbox meetings, as well as other relevant discussions.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of mobile plant and equipment and report any defects.
  • Operate mobile plant and equipment in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Record maintenance logs, checklists, and compliance processes accurately.
  • Oversee the operation of earthmoving plant.
  • Perform general civil construction duties.

The role involves supervising a small team of 5-8 people and working Monday to Friday, 8-10 hour days with food and accommodation provided. Travel time will be compensated at a full hourly rate.

Requirements:
  • Relevant machinery operator qualifications (e.g., excavator, grader, watercart, roller, or dump truck).
  • Construction Induction White Card.
  • Valid driving licence.
  • Demonstrated experience in machinery operation and leading hand roles.
