Job Overview

Cyber Security Education and Compliance Specialist plays a pivotal role in leading and mentoring cybersecurity professionals. This position requires a strong leader to conduct risk assessments, develop education programs, and implement compliance frameworks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Risk Assessments: Conduct thorough analyses of internal and external connections to systems.
  • Education Program Development: Create and implement the Cyber Security Education Program.
  • Compliance Framework Implementation: Develop and enforce IT security standards, policy, procedures, and controls.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously improve company security positioning through process improvement, automation, and evolution of capabilities.
  • Control Failures and Gaps: Document and report control failures and gaps to stakeholders, provide remediation guidance, and track activities.
  • Technical Resource: Stay current on best practices and technological advancements, act as a technical resource for security assessment and regulatory compliance.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years' experience in Cyber Governance, Risk & Compliance or a related field of cyber security.
  • Citizenship: Australian Citizenship is required.
  • Assessment Experience: Experience assessing or designing on-premise, cloud-hosted, and hybrid solutions.
  • Communication Skills: Demonstrated experience dealing with technical and non-technical business teams in a Cyber GRC engagement context.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of key Australian Government compliance frameworks including ACSC's ISM, AG's PSPF, and the ISO27000 series of frameworks.
