About the Role

Civil Engineer - Project Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Engineer to lead our projects in Sydney. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-profile projects from concept to completion, applying and developing your technical skills to creatively tackle complex engineering problems and deliver high-quality and detailed designs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead high-profile projects across Sydney, managing and developing valuable relationships with project partners, including architects, consultants, project managers, and builders.
  • Represent the company on these projects, applying and developing your technical skills to creatively tackle complex engineering problems and deliver high-quality and detailed designs.
  • Develop and implement innovative solutions to various engineering projects, ranging from complex high-rise structures to smaller projects across multiple sectors.
  • Collaborate with a professional team of engineers and technicians to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Manage and develop valuable relationships with project partners, including architects, consultants, project managers, and builders.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Postgraduate qualifications an advantage.
  • Minimum 3 years of engineering design experience within an engineering consultancy.
  • Solid understanding of Australian Building Codes and Standards and their application.
  • Experience in the development of value management and value engineering concepts.
  • Experience producing technical reports and developing ideas that add value to a project.
  • Proficient in the use of Civil 3D or 12D software, and experience using other relevant software, including DRAINS, MUSIC, Swept Path Analysis (e.g. AutoTURN), CIRCLY, AutoCAD, BricsCAD, HEC-RAS, and XP-RAFTS.
  • Experience in civil design works for urban development, including buildings projects, subdivisions, roads, pavements, and public domain areas.
  • Experience in hydrologic and hydraulic modelling, with sound knowledge of ARR 2019, design of minor and major drainage systems, design of OSD systems, WSUD strategy development, and water quality modelling.
