Compassionate Care Leader: Aged Care Expert Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate leader to join our team at Arcare. This role offers a stable and rewarding career with opportunities for professional development and career progression.

Arcare is one of Australia's leading aged care providers, with 50 residences in QLD, NSW, and VIC. Our core focus is on the relationship between residents, colleagues, and family members, with our residents and team at the heart of what we do.

As a Compassionate Care Leader, you will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality and person-centered care to Arcare Residents while maintaining a supportive and positive work environment for the care team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Resident Care: Ensuring the delivery of high-quality and person-centered care to residents, addressing their specific medical, physical, and emotional needs.
  • Staff Supervision: Managing and leading a team of healthcare professionals, including nurses, caregivers, and support staff.
  • Care Planning: Overseeing the development and implementation of individual care plans for each resident, considering their unique health requirements and preferences.
  • Medication Management: Ensuring proper administration and management of medications for residents, adhering to prescribed schedules and protocols.
  • Effective Communication: Communicating effectively with residents' families or legal guardians, providing updates on their loved one's condition and involving them in care decisions when appropriate.
  • Crisis Management: Handling emergency situations and critical incidents promptly and effectively.

Requirements:

  • Current AHPRA Registration.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in Aged Care as a Registered Nurse.
  • Grade 5, Registered Nurse.
  • Knowledge of Aged Care accreditation standards.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience with ANNAC.
  • Expertise in medication administration and wound care with a commitment to ongoing clinical excellence.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • An outstanding proficiency in care planning, goal setting, and evaluation documentation.
  • Capability to effectively lead and manage a team.
