Job Description:

The Telecommunications Interception Monitor role involves lawful telecommunications interceptions on behalf of law enforcement agencies.

You will be responsible for analysing and processing raw information, providing timely operational advice to investigators, and maintaining confidentiality in a dynamic operational environment.

  • Perform TI monitoring duties in compliance with relevant legislation and policies.
  • Analyse and process raw information, summarising it into accurate and timely operational advice.
  • Work in a highly sensitive operational environment requiring high levels of discretion.
  • Develop a good working knowledge of criminal investigation practices, intelligence gathering processes, and technical equipment used in the TI process.
  • Identify operational information and communicate it to relevant personnel as required.
  • Provide general advice to investigators on TI requirements.
  • Maintain integrity at all times and contribute to physical security measures.
  • Undertake telecommunications transcription duties where required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

The successful applicant will require a hearing test and psychometric assessment prior to appointment. Regular assessments may also be necessary.

Applicants should note that they may be exposed to graphic and sensitive material during the course of their duties.

Flexible work arrangements may be available, including working at various locations within Brisbane.
