We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical individual to join our team as a Trainee Transport Planner. As a key member of our transportation operations, you will be responsible for supporting the daily scheduling and routing of fleet vehicles for optimized customer deliveries.
This is an exciting opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in transport planning, working closely with experienced professionals to ensure high standards of quality and logistics delivery performance.
In this role, you will be responsible for providing support to the Transport Supervisor with:
- Planning and scheduling collection and delivery routes to ensure efficient and timely transportation of goods.
- Collaborating with drivers, dispatchers, and other team members to determine the most effective routes and resolve any operational issues.
- Monitoring and tracking deliveries to ensure on-time delivery and updating customers or stakeholders as necessary.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Aptitude for problem-solving and analytical thinking.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
As a Trainee Transport Planner, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. You will also receive full training in the role, so prior experience in planning or scheduling is not essential.
