About The Role

This is a permanent full-time position; the applicant must hold and maintain a Food Safety Supervisor Certificate and/or ServSafe Certification.

The Restaurant Manager is accountable for the safe, effective, and efficient operation of all facets of the restaurant. You will prioritize guest satisfaction, leading the delivery of exceptional quality, service, and cleanliness to our patrons. You will foster a culture of inclusivity that promotes a growth mindset, teamwork, unwavering guest focus, collaboration, and making a positive impact.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

Ensuring Safety Leadership
  1. Oversee daily operations with an emphasis on safe work practices that comply with local regulations and Hungry Jack's standards.
  2. Lead the Restaurant Safety Committee, leveraging this team to disseminate the safety message throughout the restaurant.
  3. Manage incidents and injuries involving employees, guests, and contractors, ensuring a smooth return-to-work process that encourages employees to return safely and promptly.
  4. Enforce safety and security protocols.
Fostering a Guest-Centric Culture
  1. Recruit, train, and supervise your team to deliver outstanding guest service consistently, demonstrating a commitment to guest satisfaction.
  2. Assess employee performance, promotions, disciplinary matters, and resolve employee issues as appropriate.
  3. Ensure that guests receive timely service and high-quality food.
  4. Implement the National Marketing Plan to guarantee our guests enjoy a consistent experience on every visit (correct pricing, marketing materials displayed accurately).
  5. Address guest inquiries and feedback regarding products and services, providing suitable corrective actions or escalation to ensure guest satisfaction.
  6. Own (at a restaurant level) national incentive programs aimed at enhancing the guest experience.
Building the Brand (Business Planning)
  1. Utilize your Business Priority Plan to continually enhance your restaurant's performance.
  2. Regularly review business outcomes and communicate with your team, implementing clear action plans for improvement.
  3. Lead community engagement initiatives in your local area to boost visibility and cultivate brand loyalty.
Leading a High-Performing Team
  1. Create a culture that emphasizes growth, trust, and accountability.
  2. Develop your restaurant team to ensure effective shift coverage with productive and skilled managers, shift supervisors, and crew members.
  3. Establish and maintain a succession plan that engages and retains your internal talent pipeline.
  4. Collaborate with your training coach to execute the restaurant's training plan.
Managing the Business (Profit and Controllables)
  1. Accurately forecast and monitor sales to ensure staffing and ordering align with our guest-centric approach.
  2. Plan and prepare work schedules and assign staff to specific roles.
  3. Manage controllable expenses (via your Portfolio Leads) to achieve profit objectives.
  4. Conduct regular inventory audits, maintain stock records, and ensure alignment with budgetary constraints.
  5. Verify sales data, investigate point of sale discrepancies, and monitor discounts and promotions.
  6. Ensure precise inventory ordering based on sales projections.
Skills / Experience

AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma, or Diploma or at least 3 years relevant experience.
