Job Title: Food and Beverage Assistant

A Food and Beverage Assistant plays a vital role in delivering exceptional guest experiences while working towards departmental targets. This role requires a team player who can work in various areas of Food and Beverage, including Bar, Restaurant, Room Service, and Conference and Events.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Welcome guests in a polite and friendly manner, setting the tone for an excellent experience.
  • Take and deliver customer orders, consistently demonstrating high levels of customer service and ensuring timely delivery.
  • Prepare set-ups for tables and/or rooms, ensuring a seamless experience for our guests.
  • Follow cash handling procedures, maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Manage guest queries in a timely and efficient manner, providing solutions and resolving issues.
  • Upsell with the latest departmental incentives, driving revenue growth and exceeding targets.
  • Ensure compliance with brand standards, maintaining the highest level of quality and consistency.
  • Strive to achieve departmental targets, contributing to the success of the Food and Beverage team.
  • Ensure cleanliness of work areas, maintaining a safe and healthy environment for guests and colleagues.
  • Comply with hotel security, fire regulations, and all health and safety legislation, prioritizing the well-being of all.
  • Comply with local licensing laws, adhering to regulations and guidelines.
  • Be environmentally aware, reducing waste and promoting sustainability.
  • Assist other departments wherever necessary, maintaining good working relationships and fostering a collaborative environment.
Requirements:
  • A positive attitude, with a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and guests.
  • A commitment to delivering high levels of customer service, with a focus on exceeding expectations.
  • Excellent grooming standards, maintaining a professional appearance at all times.
  • Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations, with a willingness to adapt and evolve.
  • The ability to work on your own or in teams, with a collaborative mindset and a focus on achieving shared goals.
Desirable Skills:
  • Previous Food and Beverage and/or industry experience, with a proven track record of success.
  • Experience with cash handling, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of Food Hygiene Regulations, with a commitment to maintaining the highest level of quality and consistency.
  • Previous Bar experience, with a focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences and exceeding targets.
