Civil Infrastructure Technician

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Civil Maintenance Labourer to join our team in Kiama Council's civil maintenance department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise with the Team Leader to plan and coordinate civil maintenance works as required.
- Conduct general maintenance on the Council's road network, identifying and rectifying defects.
- Install and maintain signage across the road network and other Council areas.
- Undertake painting and line marking of roads and footpaths.
- Install and maintain stormwater infrastructure components.
- Carry out general maintenance on various council assets.
- Undertake traffic control in accordance with Council policies.
- Work in accordance with relevant Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS).
Requirements:
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- A strong understanding of safety procedures and a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
Benefits:
- A permanent full-time role with a nine-day working fortnight, equating to a 38-hour week.
- Annual salary from $57,976 to $63,919, dependent on qualifications, skills, and experience.
- Progressive annual salary up to $70,471.
- 12% superannuation.
