The IT Systems Administrator role involves overseeing the maintenance, installation, upgrade, and configuration of various data systems.
- Maintaining computer systems hardware, software, information systems, and peripheral equipment such as servers, desktops, printers, and storage devices.
- Administering operating systems and ensuring basic security and recovery procedures like scheduling and backups are in place.
- Performing assignments requiring experience and knowledge of standard concepts within their field.
- Displaying core job competencies by analyzing possible solutions using standard procedures while developing advanced skills.
- Managing multiple IT vendors to ensure timely completion of IT projects.
- Necessary Security Clearance: Must have a US TS/SCI with Polygraph or AUS PV clearance.
- Minimum Experience: Must have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Education and Certifications: Must have a Bachelor's Degree in a related field and at least 2 years of directly related IT experience. Alternatively, a High School Diploma and an additional 5 years of directly related IT experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Security+ Certification Required.
- Familiarity with TCP/IP networking principles in a Microsoft Environment is required.
