Overview

Information Technology (IT) Manager – KBR Government Solutions, Alice Springs, Northern Territory, Australia. This role is located at a 4,400-acre facility with approximately 687,000 square feet of mission and support space. The IT Manager leads a team responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing information management and telecommunications systems to support critical decision-making processes. The role requires coordinating with facilities, security, logistics, and other stakeholders to ensure continuous availability of mission-critical infrastructure and services.

Responsibilities
  • Support day-to-day operations and maintenance for facility-related infrastructure networks; perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and diagnostic actions to restore operational capabilities within required timeframes.
  • Procure, install, maintain, repair, and document telecommunications cabling infrastructure and network conveyance.
  • Oversee telecommunications infrastructure including project management of ISP/OSP projects, design engineering, integration, testing, installation, operations, and maintenance of communication distribution systems, upgrades, and recapitalization.
  • Lead and supervise personnel to manage, maintain, operate, design, engineer, test, inspect, and repair both inside and outside plant telecommunications infrastructure.
  • Operate an IT Help Desk and oversee daily operations.
  • Provide information systems and business applications support, including hardware, software, and infrastructure maintenance, repair, and component replacement.
  • Perform unclassified network systems administration and maintenance requiring access to site cable architecture.
  • Supply materials and labor for IT infrastructure modifications and new installations (conduits, wire-mold, cabling, fiber).
  • Operate, inspect, test, maintain, update, and repair Facility Control System, Power Control Monitoring System, Building Monitoring System, and SCADA systems.
  • Support transition activities on all IT systems as required.
  • Work in 24x7 mission-critical environments ensuring continuous availability of facility infrastructure.
  • Update and maintain CAD files for facilities, space planning, and telecommunications drawings and capacities.
  • Develop and maintain an IT plan as part of the Program Management Plan focused on business and enterprise information management.
  • Support facilities, logistics, security, and telecommunications infrastructures via IT and communications design, implementation, cybersecurity, testing, O&M, software upgrades, and hardware recapitalization.
  • Implement enterprise solutions as needed (e.g., ERP tool support).
  • Prepare documents for Authorization and Assessment (A&A) per ICD 503; familiar with NRO RMF as part of A&A responsibilities.
  • Develop Configuration Management (CM) and System Development Plans; ensure alignment with NRO CIP processes when applicable.
  • Ensure qualified personnel perform O&M on facilities and communication systems; ensure availability of skilled systems engineers and database administrators.
  • Collect and oversee customer requirements, design and engineering, cybersecurity, testing, integration, and implementation of systems; coordinate with government and industry partners for enterprise solutions.
  • Integrate and coordinate with partners to implement new enterprise solutions and perform related O&M activities.
Qualifications
  • Must be a US Citizen with an active TS/SCI clearance and adjudicated CI polygraph.
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, information systems management, or equivalent experience.
  • ISCO2 CISSP certification (or equivalent) is required.
  • Minimum of five (15 or more) years of experience managing complex IT projects; preferably with NRO experience for enterprise understanding.
  • Minimum of two (2) consecutive years of supervisory IT management experience.
  • Experience with SCADA networks and IC IT systems, including INFOSEC policies and procedures.
  • Proven customer service experience; experience in help desk, recapitalization, networks, security documentation, and protected communications technologies.
  • Currently holds applicable 8570 certifications and Security+.
  • Experience with hardware/software integration, cloud services, and telecommunication networks; ability to align development with end-user and mission needs.
  • Strong architecture and project leadership capabilities; track record of implementing cutting-edge technology solutions.
  • Experience using ticketing/service desk tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira Service Desk).
  • Ability to optimize technical, performance, and operational efficiencies and minimize lifecycle costs; enable interoperability across the enterprise.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of data governance principles and best practices.
