Job Title: Medical Officer - Emergency Care Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Officer to join our team in Mona Vale Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to patients presenting to the Urgent Care Centre, coordinating patient transfers, and attending after-hours clinical reviews.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and facilitate diagnosis, management, and discharge for patients presenting to the Urgent Care Centre.
  • Facilitate transfer of patients who require admission to the Northern Beaches Hospital.
  • Attend after-hours clinical reviews and rapid response calls from the Aged Care Rehabilitation Unit and Beachside Rehabilitation Unit.
  • Supervise and support Resident Medical Officers rostered to work after-hours weekday shifts.
  • Liaise with the Director of Medical Services regarding any problems that may arise.

Requirements:

  • Primary Medical Degree (MBBS)
  • AHPRA Registration or eligibility for AHPRA via the Competent Authority Pathway
  • Minimum five years' post-graduate experience
  • Previous clinical experience in Emergency Medicine, General Medicine, Orthopaedics, and/or General Practice
  • Demonstrated ability to provide leadership to a multi-disciplinary treatment team
