Clearing Risk Business Analyst

Job Summary:

The Clearing Risk Business Analyst will lead the execution of derivatives streams within a high-profile project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Clearing Risk stream within the Exchange Traded Derivatives project.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, process mapping, and understanding of key data flows.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration to document processes, prioritize tasks, facilitate workshops, stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog grooming.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels to identify and mitigate data-related program risks, assumptions, and issues.
  • Leverage financial risk, markets, or derivatives expertise to lead workshops related to initial margin, variation margin, pricing, market data, financial markets infrastructure reporting, positions, and trade feeds to document process flows and requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Markets or financial risk expertise, having worked on clearing or financial risk projects, data integration, or other related transformation initiatives.
  • Experience working independently and leading data-related business analysis streams on Tier 1 projects across the full software development life cycle from discovery to execution.
  • 7+ years of experience in financial services or capital markets, particularly in clearing risk, settlement, or registry functions.
  • Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, Visio, and industry-standard collaboration and documentation tools.
  • Strong documentation skills with an ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders across all seniority levels.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, comfortable in ambiguous situations and context switching to drive outcomes.

Nice to Have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Finance and/or other STEM-related areas.
  • Relevant BA or project management industry certifications.
  • Experience leading Scrum teams in previous roles and familiarity with cloud-related data products.
