About the Opportunity
This role involves supporting access to records and information in the State's archive, particularly for Aboriginal people and communities.
Working closely with the Senior Aboriginal Access Officer, this role contributes to promoting the archive and State Records' services. Additionally, it assists with projects aimed at enhancing the quality of the archive collection.
This position is responsible for advancing the preservation of historical records and ensuring their accessibility to Aboriginal people and communities. The successful candidate will collaborate with stakeholders to develop strategies for improving record access and supporting the needs of Aboriginal people.
About the Business
State Records establishes standards and facilitates agencies in managing information assets. It preserves and provides access to historical records of government in South Australia, while protecting personal information privacy.
This role demands strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a deep understanding of the needs and experiences of Aboriginal people and communities. The successful candidate will be able to build effective relationships with stakeholders and provide culturally sensitive support to clients.
