First Nations Health Strategy and Innovation Role

The First Nations Health team reports to the Executive Director, Strategy and Innovation. As a key member of this team, you will contribute to improving the safety and quality of care for First Nations people.

The team's focus areas include reviewing cultural safety standards in hospitals, working with stakeholders and communities to inform improvements, and supporting translation and implementation into practice.

Key objectives include:

  • Reviewing and strengthening cultural safety standards in healthcare settings
  • Collaborating with stakeholders and community members to identify and address gaps in healthcare services
  • Developing and implementing strategies to improve the safety and quality of care for First Nations people

You will need Australian Citizenship, First Nations heritage, knowledge of the Australian healthcare system, and an understanding of safety and quality issues related to First Nations peoples and their communities. Exposure to project management is also beneficial.
