The opportunity to work on LGIS provides valuable learning and development experiences in a collaborative environment.
As an Injury Prevention Consultant, you will support our WA local governments who service our communities by driving a participatory approach to manual task injuries, innovating early intervention and prevention services, and educating employees to mitigate workers compensation claims.
You will assist the Manager, Workcare Services in delivering manual task and ergonomic services, and developing proactive risk management strategies.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing injury prevention programs
- Conducting ergonomic assessments and providing recommendations
- Collaborating with internal teams to achieve organisational goals
- Providing education and training to employees on workplace safety and injury prevention
To succeed in this role, you will require:
- A qualification in Exercise Physiology, Occupational Therapy, Ergonomics, WHS or Physiotherapy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Computer literacy and effective time management
- Ability to travel regularly across Western Australia
