About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled professional with expertise in exercise physiology, occupational therapy, ergonomics, WHS or physiotherapy to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving a participatory approach to the control of manual task injuries with Western Australian local governments, complying with WA Code of Practice: Manual Tasks.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and presentation skills, computer literacy, and effective time management skills. They will innovate early intervention and prevention services to reduce musculoskeletal injuries and claim trends, and deliver manual task and ergonomic services across Western Australia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement participatory approaches to prevent manual task injuries in local government sectors.
  • Design and deliver innovative early intervention and prevention services to mitigate musculoskeletal injuries and claim trends.
  • Provide manual task and ergonomic services to ensure a safe working environment across Western Australia, including regional and remote locations.
  • Deliver education sessions to local government employees to promote injury prevention and reduce workers' compensation claims and costs.
Requirements
  • A qualification in exercise physiology, occupational therapy, ergonomics, WHS or physiotherapy.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Outlook.
  • Effective time management skills.
