About the Role

This is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing the strategic direction and operational excellence of our enterprise IT infrastructure services.

The successful candidate will take end-to-end accountability for shaping the future state of our on-premises and hybrid infrastructure, ensuring it is secure, reliable, scalable, and aligned with our strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and execution of our on-premises and hybrid infrastructure strategy
  • Oversee the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and resilient data centre infrastructure, networking, virtualisation, and storage solutions
  • Drive the adoption of automation, orchestration, and infrastructure-as-code principles to lead the transformation from legacy infrastructure to modern, cloud-integrated architectures
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of infrastructure specialists
  • Manage the infrastructure services budget, optimising spend and ensuring cost-effective utilisation of resources
  • Establish robust governance frameworks, policies, and standards to ensure compliance with security and regulatory obligations
  • Ensure 24/7 availability and performance of Tier 0 infrastructure services, acting as an Incident Management Lead (IML) for critical incidents
Requirements
  • Extensive experience in a senior leadership role managing large-scale IT infrastructure operations within a large, complex organisation
  • Deep expertise in enterprise-level data centre infrastructure, networking, virtualisation technologies, and storage solutions
  • Proven track record of successfully leading major infrastructure projects and transformations
  • Strong understanding of IT security best practices, governance, and compliance frameworks
  • Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and develop high-performing technical teams
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
  • Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience and relevant professional certifications
