About the Role:

This is a strategic leadership opportunity to manage and support key stakeholders within our Infrastructure business. The role involves connecting and collaborating between our People Strategy, the Infrastructure business unit, and projects.

You will work collaboratively with our National Infrastructure People team, key leaders in NSW/ACT, and the wider People team to identify and understand business challenges, and find opportunities to deliver solutions that enhance employee and business performance.

Responsibilities include;

• Providing strategic and operational support on all people-related matters in the Infrastructure business unit to key stakeholders in NSW/ACT

• Partnering with project people teams to support the delivery and implementation of business priorities including resource planning, training and development, performance management, disciplinary matters, succession planning, employee engagement

• Contributing to establishing a culture and practice of sharing people successes, best practices, and lessons learned across the national infrastructure business

• Partnering with the Pre-Contracts team to provide People strategies and initiatives to tenders to enable Infrastructure to secure future work

• Developing people initiatives that support the delivery of the Infrastructure Strategy including programs that contribute to enhancing employee experience, building capability, supporting the delivery of profitable projects

• Supporting and implementing enterprise people initiatives such as remuneration reviews, performance reviews, engagement surveys, establishing and embedding policies and procedures

• Working collaboratively with projects, Senior leaders, and the ER team (NASER) to ensure ER risks are minimised, develop strategies to address concerns, and provide support on serious ER matters as appropriate

• Building and encouraging a diverse workplace through supporting and embedding the Social Inclusion team priorities

About You:

To be successful, you must have;

• Demonstrated experience providing senior-level strategic HR leadership, strong business acumen, and communication skills

• Outstanding stakeholder engagement, influencing, and negotiation skills

• Proven ability to work cross-functionally, building strong business partnerships

• Ability to problem solve, think laterally, formulate plans, and provide advice to senior management

• Ability to lead through change, influence, and motivate stakeholders towards achieving agreed objectives

• A passion for and previous experience in driving positive cultural change in the construction industry including social inclusion, local, Indigenous, and female participation

• Relevant qualifications in Human Resources, Employee Relations, or Business

• Strong knowledge of human resources, employee relations, and employment law in Australia
