Job Title: Data Management Specialist

Job Description

This role involves the supervision, day-to-day management, and coordination of records and data collection for a forensic science organization. The successful candidate will provide expert advice and support on data matching, reconciliation, and quality activities to ensure the reliability and integrity of the organization's data and records.

The Data Management Specialist will oversee the structural and quality aspects of the organization's recordkeeping systems and processes to ensure compliance with legislative and security requirements. This includes providing in-depth knowledge and advice on administrative matters relating to scientific information and document management.

Responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing and auditing record structures, storage, and retention in line with standards
  • Resolving data collection issues, storage requirements, and enquiries relating to records
  • Developing and documenting systems protocols, procedures, and user manuals
  • Coordinating data management workflows between teams and stakeholders
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • High-level knowledge and skills with data matching and administrative information systems
  • Strong ability to analyze, resolve, and provide expert advice on data management enquiries
  • Ability to meet deadlines and establish work priorities in a complex environment
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in records and document management is highly desirable
