Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Disability Support Specialist in our Shared Living division based in Concord West.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about empowering people with disability to live a life of choice, opportunity, and independence.

About the Role

In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting and empowering people with disabilities in their Supported Independent Living (SIL) accommodation. You will be responsible for providing support during active hours, overnight shifts, and assisting clients with daily routines, including personal care, medication administration, special menu planning, laundry, and person-led activities.

You will also be required to maintain accurate progress notes and incident reporting to meet organisational and NDIS requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support to clients in their group accommodation during active hours
  • Be on-site overnight and provide support during inactive/sleep break when necessary
  • Assist and support clients with daily routines, including personal care, medication administration, special menu planning, laundry, and person-led activities
  • Maintain accurate progress notes and incident reporting to meet organisational and NDIS requirements
Requirements
  • A minimum Certificate III in Disability, Individual Support or Community Services (or similar)
  • Demonstrated experience supporting people with complex behaviours and health needs
  • High levels of enthusiasm, initiative, and positivity while maintaining Sunnyfield values: Respect, Trust, Honesty, and Innovation
  • Ability to accept a roster consisting of sleepover shifts
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary package of $65,000 - $75,000 per annum, depending on experience. Other benefits include:
