Environmental Conservation Specialist Trainee

This traineeship offers a unique opportunity to develop skills and knowledge in environmental conservation.

  • Assist with environmental monitoring by collecting samples from various sites
  • Record and report data collected during fieldwork
  • Process samples in a laboratory setting to analyze results
  • Participate in pre-start checks and site inductions to ensure a safe working environment
  • Liaise with clients and utilize spreadsheets and maps to support fieldwork activities

Successful candidates will have the opportunity to become qualified Environmental Field Technicians after completing this two-year traineeship.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct site assessments and collect relevant data
  • Analyze and record data in accordance with established protocols
  • Develop and maintain accurate records of fieldwork activities
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and clients to ensure successful project outcomes

Requirements:

  • Degree in Environmental Science or related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physical ability to perform tasks in outdoor environments
  • Valid driver's license
