Job Role:

  • Diesel Fitters are required for our Mobile Maintenance department to perform planned and reactive maintenance tasks safely and effectively.
  • Routine maintenance, repairs, and servicing along with field work will be carried out by successful candidates.
  • Working on a range of mining equipment including Normet, Volvo, Sandvik loaders and Sandvik Development and Production drills is a key responsibility.
  • Candidates must have the ability to read and interpret hydraulic and auto electrical schematics and understand associated software programs.
  • They should also have the capacity to gain technical knowledge to apply potential asset/maintenance improvements.
  • Correct procedures for costing of all items will be followed by employees, contributing to maintaining within existing limits.
  • Identifying risks/hazards and applying effective controls via use of PTRA's, JSEA's or formal Risk Assessments is an essential task.

Requirements:

  • A diesel fitter trade certificate is mandatory.
  • Current manual drivers license is required.
  • Excellent problem solving, diagnostic, fault finding and troubleshooting skills are necessary.
