This role is a vital part of our team, supporting students with additional needs or disabilities in a Christian education setting.
The Waymaker Program aims to provide a counter-stress environment tailored to the needs and routines of these students. We seek a dedicated individual who is passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of students with additional needs or disabilities.
Key Responsibilities- Teaching Assistance: Assist teachers in delivering individualised or small group instruction to students with additional needs or disabilities.
- Learning Environment Support: Work with teachers to create an effective learning environment by delivering a differentiated curriculum and assessment tasks that accommodate various learning styles and difficulties.
- Directional Support: Work under the direction of teachers to provide assistance within the limits of their training.
Our Centre opened its doors in 2025 to provide high-quality education for students who cannot attend normal school due to anxiety, depression, or PTSD. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are dedicated to making a difference in the lives of students with additional needs or disabilities.
We require a caring and passionate aide with a strong understanding of and commitment to Christian education. Experience in working with students or young people in a trauma-informed setting is highly advantageous.
