The Opportunity:
- Full-Time | Ongoing contract of employment
- PW6 $83,214 - $89,326 per annum pro rata + 12% super + leave loading (dependent on qualifications and experience)
- Chadstone Campus - onsite parking with close proximity to public transport
The Registrar's Department is the backbone of academic administration at Holmesglen, delivering essential services across the student lifecycle with precision and integrity. Comprising the Office of the Registrar, Awards and Graduations, Information Systems, Holmesglen Assist, and the Timetable Office, the department ensures that every aspect of student administration—from enrolment and class scheduling to graduations and records management—is efficient, accurate and aligned with institutional policies and regulatory requirements.
Role purpose
We are seeking a passionate Student Success Lead to help students thrive. You will manage student success services, build strong partnerships, and deliver culturally sensitive support that makes a real difference. You will identify learners at risk, coordinate interventions, and ensure students stay on track. This role also oversees compliance, including support for international students through the Department of Home Affairs.

As a Student Success Lead, you will:
- Develop and enhance student success procedures, ensuring alignment with legislation and institutional requirements.
- Ensure compliance with ESOS, the National Code, and reporting obligations for international learners.
- Identify at-risk learners and coordinate interventions to support retention and wellbeing.
- Provide expert guidance and high-level support to staff across teaching, wellbeing, and support services, fostering consistent, effective approaches to student assistance.
- Build and maintain collaborative relationships with external organisations, agencies, and community partners to enhance the breadth and quality of support available to learners.
To be successful, you'll have:
- Experience in student success, case management, and supporting diverse learners, including international students, with strong knowledge of relevant legislation (e.g., ESOS Act) and TAFE/education sector practices.
- Relevant qualification (e.g., degree in business administration, education, educational support, or community/welfare discipline) or significant equivalent experience.
- Excellent organisational, administrative, and technical skills - proficiency in student management systems, databases, and MS Office, with the ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills, building trust, collaboration, and effective partnerships with students, staff, and external organisations.
- Flexible, adaptable, and solution-focused, with the ability to respond to change, problem-solve, and support a positive, team-focused culture.
- WWCC and Police Check: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining an 'employee' Working with Children Check, and a valid Police Check within the last 12 months.
