Care and Assistance Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Disability Support Worker to provide in-house support to individuals with complex behavioral needs. This part-time role requires a minimum of 30 hours per week.
About the Role- Provide personal care services if required, adhering to client care plans.
- Assist clients with daily living activities including meal preparation, household tasks, promoting independence and dignity.
- Develop positive relationships with clients based on trust and respect, fostering a supportive environment.
- Implement behavior support plans developed by specialists or therapists, ensuring effective interventions.
- Collaborate with clients to achieve their goals for independence, enhancing their quality of life.
- Maintain accurate records of client progress, contributing to ongoing assessment and evaluation.
- A minimum Certificate III or IV in Disability Services (or equivalent) is required, demonstrating a strong foundation in disability support principles.
- Proven experience working as a disability support worker is preferred but not essential, emphasizing adaptability and a willingness to learn.
- A current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain one) is necessary, highlighting a commitment to safety and well-being.
