Job Description

A Primary Teacher is required to create a nurturing and supportive environment that fosters a lifelong love of learning. The ideal candidate will have the ability to design and deliver effective curriculum programs in accordance with the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.

The successful applicant will be responsible for creating a learner-centred, cooperative, and ordered classroom environment aligned with curriculum policies and practices. They will also develop and implement quality curriculum programs, evaluate their effectiveness, and communicate these outcomes to students, parents, and the community.

In addition, the teacher will collaborate with the leadership team, teachers, and staff to contribute to the school's professional life and foster a positive school culture. They will engage in professional learning to enhance student outcomes and build positive relationships through pastoral care and supporting students' spiritual and moral development.

The Primary Teacher will ensure that the teachings and values of the Catholic Church underpin teaching and learning practices. This includes promoting social responsibility, self-discipline, and Catholic values. The teacher will also support students' spiritual and moral development with passion.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  1. Create a supportive, learner-focused classroom aligned with the Australian Curriculum.
  2. Design and deliver effective curriculum programs in accordance with the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.
  3. Engage with colleagues, students, and parents/carers to enrich learning experiences and achieve optimal educational outcomes.
