Maternity Care Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maternity Care Specialist to join our team at Collarcare, providing comprehensive care to women before, during, and after childbirth. This contracted position offers flexibility and variety in working across different health services in Western Australia.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality maternal and neonatal care in the maternity ward, including antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care.
- Manage and assist in the birth suite, supporting women through labor and delivery.
- Administer and monitor epidural analgesia and manage pain relief for laboring patients.
- Perform and oversee neonatal resuscitation and provide advanced neonatal care as needed.
- Competently handle antepartum and postpartum care, including assessing and monitoring both mother and baby.
- Conduct IV cannulation and manage intravenous therapy.
- Ensure accurate and thorough documentation of patient care and progress.
- Current registration as a Registered Midwife with AHPRA.
- Current National Police Check.
- Working With Children check or willingness to obtain.
- 6 months of experience working in an Australian Health Setting.
- Excellent critical thinking and decision-making skills.
- Experience in maternity care, including birth suite management and neonatal care.
- Competency in administering epidurals and managing pain relief.
- Proficiency in IV cannulation and advanced neonatal resuscitation (NeoResus).
- Strong skills in antepartum and postpartum care, including pain management and neonatal resuscitation.
- Additional mandatory competencies/trainings depending on contract & role.
- Regional contracts & ad-hoc shifts available – generally ranging from 4-12 weeks.
- Accommodation, travel, fuel & regional allowances all included.
- Schedule flexibility for AM/PM/Nights & Rotating rosters.

The estimated annual salary for this position is between AU$85,000 and AU$120,000, based on industry standards and factors such as experience and qualifications.
