Role Overview:

Collarcare is partnering with health services across Australia to seek experienced obstetric nurse specialists for hospital contracts in WA. This role requires strong clinical judgment, effective communication, and the ability to manage various aspects of maternal and newborn care.

About the Role:

  • Provide comprehensive antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care in the maternity ward.
  • Manage and assist in the birth suite, supporting women through labor and delivery.
  • Administer and monitor epidural analgesia and manage pain relief for laboring patients.
  • Perform and oversee neonatal resuscitation and provide advanced neonatal care as needed.
  • Competently handle antepartum and postpartum care, including assessing and monitoring both mother and baby.
  • Conduct IV cannulation and manage intravenous therapy.
  • Ensure accurate and thorough documentation of patient care and progress.

Requirements:

  • Current registration as a Registered Midwife or Obstetric Nurse Specialist with AHPRA.
  • Current National Police Check.
  • Working With Children check or willingness to obtain.
  • 6 months of experience working in an Australian Health Setting.
  • Excellent critical thinking and decision-making skills.
  • Experience in maternity care, including birth suite management and neonatal care.
  • Competency in administering epidurals and managing pain relief.
  • Proficiency in IV cannulation and advanced neonatal resuscitation (NeoResus).
  • Strong skills in antepartum and postpartum care, including pain management and neonatal resuscitation.

Salary Range: AU$60,000 - AU$90,000 per annum depending on experience and qualifications.
