In this role, you will be responsible for providing human resources advice, support and services to Uniting AgeWell managers and employees. This will involve:
- Providing expert advice and guidance on staffing and industrial issues, including interpretation of awards and agreements
- Managing disputes, grievances and disciplinary processes in line with employee relations processes
- Consulting and negotiating with unions and other bargaining representatives as required
- Assisting managers and support recruitment partners in overseeing recruitment and selection processes
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Tertiary qualifications in human resources and/or industrial relations or equivalent industry experience
- Extensive experience managing complex situations in relation to dispute resolution, grievance and disciplinary processes
- Experience negotiating enterprise agreements with unions or other bargaining representatives (desirable)
- Experience and expertise in interpretation of awards and agreements, particularly in relation to the Aged Care sector (essential)
- Experience in analysing, amending or constructing residential aged care rosters
- Experience in planning and implementing organisational change situations
To work in aged care, you will need:
- A current Working With Children's Check (VIC) or willingness to obtain one
- Full Australian working rights
- A current Police Records Check/NDIS Clearance or be willing to undertake this process
- Current and ongoing flu vaccinations
