Job Overview

The Local Level Alliance is a pivotal initiative aimed at fostering connections and networks between local services catering to vulnerable families.

This role plays a crucial part in establishing and coordinating forums, working parties, and activities that promote service delivery collaboration and identify service system gaps.

  • A key objective of this position is to take the lead in identifying key agencies and services contributing to the service systems across our region for vulnerable children and their families.

To achieve this goal, you will:

  1. Demonstrate experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities as well as other community members.
  2. Showcase your ability to liaise and work collaboratively with government and non-government organisations.
  3. Highlight your knowledge of the community service sector, including Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander organisations and services for families, children, and young people.
  4. Exhibit the capacity to identify available services and service gaps, improving the alignment between the configuration of the service system and the needs of local families.
Key Responsibilities

This role involves:

  • Liaising with LLA working groups and providing information on emerging trends, issues, needs, opportunities, and challenges.
  • Coordinating meetings, events, and activities to promote service delivery collaboration and identify service system gaps.
  • Developing project plans and reports to communicate the information to peak bodies within the sector.

We are seeking an individual who can effectively contribute to place-based planning for the development of an integrated suite of local services. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to work within a multi-disciplined team and possess effective communication skills.

Selection Criteria

The following criteria are essential for this role:

  • Demonstrated experience with identifying service system gaps and liaising with LLA working groups.
  • Able to coordinate meetings, events, and activities, and develop project plans and reports.
  • Knowledge and understanding of child protection and related legislation, processes, and best practice.
  • Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families, children, and young people.
  • Able to contribute to place-based planning and develop an integrated suite of local services.
