Key Advisor Position

**Job Overview:** The role of Priority Projects Advisor involves contributing to the oversight and delivery of significant reform projects and strategic policy initiatives.

The Department of Government Services is a newly established department focused on enhancing everyone's experience of doing business and interacting with the Victorian government. As a Priority Projects Advisor, you will play a key role in this endeavor.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Provide well-reasoned written advice to inform strategic decision making by government, senior executives, and the department on complex policy, program, or project matters.
  • Identify and respond to new and emerging issues, risks, and opportunities impacting the operating environment.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive collaborative outcomes.

**Essential Skills and Qualifications:**

  • Demonstrated strategic thinking and analytical capability: Proven ability to conceptualise, develop, and implement strategic initiatives, frameworks, and policies in complex environments.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills: High-level interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills for building and sustaining stakeholder relationships across varied contexts.
  • Experience in policy development and review: Expertise in developing, implementing, and evaluating policies or strategies that align with legislative frameworks and broader government objectives.
