Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HR Officer to join our team.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an HR professional to take on a challenging role in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing HR advice, coaching and support to production managers, supervisors and employees.

  • Maintaining adequate manning levels for the business
  • Ensuring compliance with legislation, policies and procedures
  • Leading investigations and performance management processes
  • Managing trends in attendance, absenteeism and turnover
  • Ensuring and supporting positive employee relations
  • Updating and maintaining HR records (Success Factors HRIS)
  • Ensuring the safety of all employees and abiding by WH&S legislation
Responsibilities

This role requires strong organisational and planning skills, as well as the ability to influence and persevere to improve processes.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a manufacturing environment and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Previous experience with and the ability to have difficult conversations
  • Strong organisational and planning skills
  • Ability to influence and perseverance to improve processes
  • Ability to cultivate professional working relationships at all levels of the business
  • Ability to work day or night shifts on a 38-hour week; Monday to Thursday (flexibility is essential)
  • Must hold Australian working rights
  • Intermediate computer skills specifically within MS Word and Excel
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team environment
