About the Role

We are seeking a talented financial lawyer to join our Restructuring and Insolvency practice in Sydney. This exciting opportunity will see you acting for financial institutions, listed companies, funds, directors, insolvency practitioners, and investors on restructurings, workouts, special situations, insolvency, and finance matters.

Working closely with senior practitioners within a collaborative team, this role offers a rewarding chance to develop your legal skills and build client relationships within a top-tier law firm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Acting for clients on a wide range of restructurings and workouts;
  • Providing advice on insolvency and finance matters;
  • Developing strong relationships with clients and colleagues;
  • Contributing to the growth and success of the Restructuring and Insolvency practice group;

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Circa 4 years' experience as a lawyer gained within a reputable restructuring and insolvency practice;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • High-quality drafting skills;
  • A proactive approach to client service and strong time management skills;

About Us

Clayton Utz's Restructuring and Insolvency team advises on all aspects of restructurings and insolvencies. We provide advice on complex pre-insolvency restructurings that preserve the value of businesses for creditors and stakeholders.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this role is $AUD 180,000. Clayton Utz offers a competitive remuneration package, including bonuses, superannuation, and a generous leave entitlement.
