Job Description

eBay Global Shipping is seeking a dynamic and operational-focused professional to own and enhance our shipping network. In this pivotal role, you will be the expert on Australia's carrier landscape, managing day-to-day logistics performance, driving cost efficiencies, and ensuring our sellers have access to the best possible delivery options for their buyers.

This role involves overseeing the daily operational performance of eBay Australia's shipping portfolio, focusing on key metrics: on-time delivery, cost per parcel, tracking accuracy, and loss/damage rates. You will serve as the primary operational point of contact for major domestic carriers and conduct regular performance reviews (QBRs) with carrier partners to address service issues and identify improvement areas.

You will troubleshoot and resolve high-priority shipping escalations and operational disruptions in a timely manner. Additionally, you will support the development and execution of the carrier strategy for Australia and assist in contract negotiations and rate reviews, providing data-driven insights on performance and cost.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the daily operational performance of eBay Australia's shipping portfolio
  • Serve as the primary operational point of contact for major domestic carriers
  • Conduct regular performance reviews (QBRs) with carrier partners
  • Troubleshoot and resolve high-priority shipping escalations and operational disruptions
  • Support the development and execution of the carrier strategy for Australia
Requirements and Qualifications
  • 7 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or parcel carrier management, preferably within e-commerce or a fast-paced retail environment
  • Demonstrable, hands-on experience working with Australia's major and regional carriers
  • Strong operational background with experience managing SLAs, KPIs, and daily performance metrics
  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with external partners and internal teams
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools
