Occupational Therapist Role

Fly in fly out or drive in drive out opportunities are available for an experienced occupational therapist to join a multidisciplinary team of allied health professionals as a rehabilitation consultant.

The successful candidate will be able to:

  • Undertake assessments relevant to their discipline to develop and implement effective rehabilitation plans.
  • Design and implement intervention programmes using occupation to improve functional performance, independence, and work capacity.
  • Identify barriers and design, implement, and monitor programs that support people to achieve maximal work participation.
  • Understand various healthcare and rehabilitation funding schemes and empower clients to achieve their wellness and recovery goals.
  • Liaise with clients, family members, funding bodies, medical practitioners, employers, and stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • An Australian recognised degree qualification in Occupational Therapy (AHPRA).
  • A willingness to learn and impact positively on people's lives in tangible ways.
  • The ability to engage clients and stakeholders in the wellness and work journey.
  • A commitment to a high level of customer service to clients and customers.
  • A willingness to work in the community (must have a driver's license and access to own vehicle).
  • Current or able to obtain a Working with Children Check and Police Clearance.
